Living it up...

Ok...so there has been a long gap in my postings...except for the previous one that I posted just for the heck of it but of course with good intentions…so here are some interesting info that has happened in the gap period…

Though not having internet connection at both home and office could be attributed as the main cause for the 'no-post' period, there had been extreme project pressures and travel that had kept me on my toes...literally every weekend is spent on traveling to Hyderabad where we have bought a house :-> The housewarming was also done a month ago that was intentionally kept as a low-key affair.

That could be called as a personal milestone for us as it is the first and formidable investment of our earnings in an asset (well now a liability but a prospective asset once rented) Now that it is over, the furnishing work is going on which again takes our time as we end up going and supervising the work every weekend. So it is always - leaving on Friday night, spending 2 days at Hyderabad and coming back on Monday morning to go to work...this is likely to continue for another 2 months or so. But nevertheless, the hope that the furnished house will fetch a decent amount that could cover our EMI, has kept me going so far in a damned profession that I loathe.

This weekend I am heading to Chennai to celebrate my Appa’s 60th birthday…and to meet one of my best friends after a 5-year gap. I am looking forward to both of them eagerly…!

Couple of days back in my office library, I chanced upon a book named ‘Managing your career’ from Harvard Business Review, which was THE book required for me to find solutions to my problems of being at career life’s crossroads. While I am still reading it, I have made up my mind to embark on a soul-searching mission by taking time-out sometime in the first quarter or next year…come on…I got lots to accomplish in my life…I know that….!

But as of now, I am enjoying the free time I am having at hand after having completed 2 projects back-to-back…I might also take up an internet connection soon, to help me keep connected to the world at large…and satiate my thirst for knowledge and writing.

Till then, happy blogging and Shubh Navrathri…
